This is an excellent finger food to serve at parties. Try this crunchy starter at kids birthday parties. Will be a sure fire hit. I tried this dish with mutton keema (mince). But I will give you a few more options which will taste and look equally good.
Ingredients:
- Sandwich bread 6 slices
- Mutton mince 100g
- Onion 1 chopped
- Salt to taste
- Paprika 1/2 tsp.
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp.
- Turmeric powder pinch (optional)
- Lemon juice 1 tsp.
- Cornflour 2-3 tbsp.
- Sesame seeds 1 tbsp.
- Oil 1/2 cup

Method:
Heat a tablespoon oil and fry the chopped onion till pink. Add the ginger garlic paste, mutton mince, salt, paprika or red chilli powder, turmeric powder and saute for a few minutes. Put half a cup of water and cover the pan with a lid. Cook till the mutton mince is tender and dry. Sprinkle lemon juice and some fresh coriander and remove from heat.Divide into six portions.
Cut roundels from bread slices with the help of a cookie cutter or a sharp rimmed lid.
Make a thick paste of cornflour with water.
Place a portion of cooked mutton on each bread slice.
Put a teaspoonful of cornflour paste on each slice.
Sprinkle a few sesame seeds.

Heat oil in a non-stick flat pan and fry the bread slices on both sides till golden.

Variations of this dish:
You can substitute the mutton filling with chicken mince, cheese and corn filling, mashed and seasoned potatoes, leftover mutton or chicken roast, shredded chicken or anything else edible which you fancy.If you are trying this at kids parties you can cut the bread slices in fancy shapes with the help of cookie cutters. then they wouldn’t be called gold coins anymore. But you can come up with some interesting names. Come on, give this crunchy snacker a try….
