Put half a cup of water and cover the pan with a lid. Cook till the mutton mince is tender and dry. Sprinkle lemon juice and some fresh coriander and remove from heat.Divide into six portions.

Cut roundels from bread slices with the help of a cookie cutter or a sharp rimmed lid.

Make a thick paste of cornflour with water.

Place a portion of cooked mutton on each bread slice.

Put a teaspoonful of cornflour paste on each slice.

Sprinkle a few sesame seeds.

Variations of this dish:

You can substitute the mutton filling with chicken mince, cheese and corn filling, mashed and seasoned potatoes, leftover mutton or chicken roast, shredded chicken or anything else edible which you fancy. If you are trying this at kids parties you can cut the bread slices in fancy shapes with the help of cookie cutters. then they wouldn’t be called gold coins anymore. But you can come up with some interesting names. Come on, give this crunchy snacker a try….
